Nina Lewandowska is a Polish screenwriter and creator of the original Netflix series “Absolutni debiutanci” (“Absolute Beginners”), nominated for the Polityka Passport Award. A graduate of the Łódź Film School (PWSFTviT), she gained experience in premium series writers’ rooms at CANAL+, HBO and Netflix.
For “Absolutni debiutanci” ("Absolute Beginners"), which premiered in 2023 as one of Netflix’s first Polish originals aimed directly at young audiences, she created the original concept and wrote the screenplay, serving as head writer and overseeing the development process from inception to release. The series was recognised by neurodivergent communities for portraying the first female lead character on the autism spectrum in a Polish television series.

She also worked on the premium series “Matki pingwinów“ (“Mothers of Penguins”), a widely discussed Polish production that received strong critical acclaim domestically and international recognition, including coverage and praise from The New York Times. In Poland, the series was noted for its social impact and public debate around parenthood, disability, and education, and it became one of the most talked about recent premium titles.
Currently, she is developing original premium series and works as a narrative designer at NEXT EPISODE studio, expanding her storytelling practice across film, television, and interactive narrative worlds.
